Sending Faxes through the Web

Before you can send faxes online, a fax account must be set up for you. The fax number assigned to your account is based on your department and is created at the time your account is created. If you’re unsure whether you already have a fax account, need one created, want to confirm the fax number linked to your account, or need your fax number updated due to a department change, you can submit a helpdesk ticket for assistance.

1) Open a web browser and go to https://portal.xmedius.com

2) Click Sign In


3) If prompted, sign in with your HU credentials. If you are already logged into your HU account in other systems, then you may not be prompted for your credentials.

4) Click on New Fax


5) Enter the recipient name and company name as you would like it to be displayed on the fax cover sheet.


6) Enter the fax number you want to send the fax to in the Fax field


7) Click Add


8) Leave the style as the Default cover sheet. You do not need to included a paper coversheet with the fax; the fax system will automatically include a fax cover sheet with the information you include on this page.

9) Enter the Subject and Comment you would like to be displayed on the fax cover sheet

10) Click Browse

11) Navigate to the location of the file you want to fax and double-click on the name of the file. Supported file types include PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, TXT, and JPG

12) Click Submit
