Research suggests that continually changing passwords is not as effective as using additional security factors. Instead of using costly measures like biometrics or smart cards, IT Services offers Multi-Factor Authentication (or MFA) for your huntington.edu account.

The following video explains how to set up Multi-Factor authentication with the Microsoft Authenticator App or with a code sent via text message

  1. Go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup
  2. Enter your email address and password
  3. Choose your verification method (Authentication Phone or Mobile App)
  4. Enroll your Microsoft Authenticator App or cell phone number
  5. Verify by entering the code you receive in the app or message

Note: Microsoft Authenticator also requires a phone number to be enrolled as a backup authentication method.
