How to make Roadkill Pro compatible with newer versions of Maya for Mac

How to make roadkill pro compatible with new version of maya

Go into the plugins folder and make a copy of the newest roadkill pro bundle. rename it “RoadkillPro20XX_x64.bundle” where XX is the year. If you are using a half version, make the year “20XX_5_x64”

The x64 is for 64bit

Now, open the file and search for the OLD year. This means if you made a copy of the 2015 bundle, in order to make the 2016 bundle, you search (cmd+f) for “2015”. You will find a chunk of code similar to the one below:

∫-p6P6Ä6201500m$d:HA`Y?

In the middle of that code you will find the numbers “2015” or whatever the old year was. Delete this and tip win the new year (2016 in our example).

So, what happens if you update to a half version or something similar? Then you replace the two zeros that follow the year to that version. So, if you are upgrading to Maya 2016.5, then you would replace “201600” with “201650”
