Installing HU VPN Client

All VPN users will need to download and install VPN software from https://utm.huntington.edu:4443


Users will need to scroll down past Sophos Connect to the SSL VPN section


Under the Sophos Connect client, click on the appropriate link depending on whether you are on a Windows machine or Mac.




Once the file has downloaded, run the file and go through the installation process.

Click on the appropriate SSL VPN configuration link depending on whether you are using a Windows or Mac computer.



Open the file that was downloaded and it will be imported into the VPN client.

To connect to the VPN from a Windows machine, click on the arrow in your taskbar, click on the Sophos Connect client and choose connect.



To connect to the VPN from a Mac, open the Sophos Connect client from the Launcher and click on the Connect button.

Additional instructions for macOS users if the Sophos Connect client above does not work:

Open a new web browser window or tab.

Erase everything that is in the address bar.

Type into the address bar http://tunnelblick.net and press the enter key.

The picture below is what you should see. 



Click on the big green arrow to download the latest version of Tunnelblick.

Open the downloaded Tunnelblick…dmg file and run the Tunnelblick installer.

When the installation complete, you will be prompted to launch Tunnelblick, follow the on-screen instructions to provide the file downloaded from step 11.

There is now a menu-bar icon for the VPN.

How to connect using the HU VPN client from off-campus: Make sure the computer can already get to the Internet. Click on the Tunnelblick tray-icon to select the VPN, click Connect and enter your HU username/password.
